Do you ever wonder why the Bible refers to salt so much as something simple? What if I told you that this very common mineral is actually powerful in spiritual warfare, and with it, curses can be broken off of your life as blessing comes back in? Now, hang with me here, because this video is going to put salt in the game on how you can utilize salt when waging war spiritually. And believe me, you will be considering salt in brand new light after watching this video.
The Divine Purpose of Salt
The first step is to recognize an eternal truth: That all things were created by God, and they exist through Him and for Him. His will is all; there is nothing beyond it. That means that there is a reason why salt was created—by God. When we open the Bible, however, the very first line states this: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). The mineral salt has become part of creation at the time being started.
But divine authority is else than that of man and nature. Salt, as fire devours and water imparts life, was imparted the power to heal and purify. However, how can we take this godly factor into our modern daily lives?

The Ancient Power of Salt
The ancients thought salt was so powerful. It was used to cure meat, scoop seasoned food, or curry, and be exchanged as a primitive barter. In ancient Rome, salt was used to pay public officials their salaries, and this is where the word salary comes from. A parable is an earthly narrative with a heavenly business, and Jesus employed the word to teach as in “you are the salt of the earth” (Matt 5:13). The statement went far beyond symbolism, declaring the sanctity of salt.
I mean, salt is evil right since it’s used in dark rituals—another lie from the pit of hell! Keep in mind, the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy (John 10:10). All things spiritual WILL COME TOGETHER IN THE PHYSICAL, AND GOD USES WHO, WHY, WHERE, WHEN, AND WHAT SETTINGS HE NEEDS TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL. However, being as oil symbolizes anointing, salt occupies a spiritual place in warfare.
The Sacred Place of Salt
If God requires us to anoint with oil, then we will. So why not salt? Matthew 5: You are the salt of the earth… Let us not let the enemy take this truth from us. If it is with the blessing of God, the appropriate use of salt and oil has a special honor.
Spiritual Warfare: Salt, a Weapon
From the Bible, we learn that material elements are used of God to image, or reflect spiritual things. In Exodus, God exercised His power through the staff used by Moses. Precisely because the prophets used water, salt, oil, mantles, and staff in their ministry. They did not worship these objects but rather used them as utensils during prophetic gestures.
Salt and Curses → The Real Deal
In a bad omen and witches’ kind of way, salt is nature; God has made the enemy takes it from something sacred. In Matthew 4, Satan came to Jesus and made an offer: “I will give you all the kingdoms of the world.” You see, he wants what’s actually God’s. Although we started with salt, the way of truth regarding salt and its real purpose is a weapon against curses and helps expel evil provided you are in line with God’s will.
The Bible: Blessings and Curse of Salt?
The use of salt is found in many places throughout the Bible. Leviticus 2 Humans Season the Core Offerings Seed of Mankind with Salt to Make Them Pure. Much later, in Chronicles, we are told of a “covenant of salt” established between God and David. These examples show us the spiritual aspects of salt; it cleanses, makes covenants, and is even used for evil purposes (curses) when perverted.
How to Use Salt Correctly
2.) FOCUS: Offensive Weapon, You learn that as a child of God, you literally have the authority to put some salt in my bag!! Here’s how to do it:
Consecrate the Salt – Pray over it and set the salt aside to be used for His purposes.
That Salt Around – Sprinkle the blessed salt around your house/neighborhood/city, and as you do so, pray for safety and to break any curses.
Pray like the boss – Speak power and deliverance of God over that all; put physical salt as his own signature.
Guard Me from Every Fear and Trouble
Come on; I encourage you to command while praying:
God of Israel, my father, I take the covenant salt today and sprinkle it all over my city, my house, my street, and my church- Every offense of the enemy, every witchcraft, and every curse I break. I speak Your protection, and I come against every spirit of retribution in the name. Evil will never lift up its head at this place again from today and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Conclusion: The Power of Salt
Salt is powerful. One of the examples cited in SOS I is Elisha’s use of salt to purify the waters (2 Kings 2:21), which demonstrates that salt as a medium has healing capabilities! If you are to use salt, it must be an act of piety and only for the sake of God. Salt functions like the bronze serpent in Numbers 21, pointing away from itself to God to regain perspective. Use it wisely and with faith.
